He became familiar with the organization when another pirate invited him to a Thieves Market. He joined because not only does he help raise funds for local children but he has fun and legally carry weapons. Hoodat serves a plethora of functions - he his a crew member, bilge rat, powder monkey and ball hauler (I don't think we want to know which is his favorite job!)
Hoodat tells us he got his pirate name from Hammer, who saw his name on an email listing and wanted to know Who's That?? The rest, as they say, is history. From those humble beginnings he has gone on to become the most beloved and yet feared characters in all of pirate lore.
When asked his favorite thing about being a pirate he says """AAARRRGGGHHH! when I walks down the street, children marvel, women swoon (seriously, they do) and men quake with fear.
An Emcee extraordinare, look for him fronting our next car show, poker run, bar capture or any other of our great fundraisers!
His favorite pirate function? Any and Every Parade because adoring women scream and wave!!
