| Robert, "Pirate Bob" is another Privledged Member - beginning his tenure with the Privateers way back in 1976. He says his nickname is simple -- he's a Pirate and his name is Bob -- hence, Pirate Bob.
Another New York native (Brooklyn) Bob relocated to Bradenton, FL and found the privateers at the Rod & Reel Pier. He has served in a plethora of functions including Cannoneer, Captain, Vice President and was President for five years running. His favorite functions were the parades - meeting other Crewe's and seeing the other floats. His other life included a career in the United States Army (GO ARMY) and was a hair stylist and hair designer. Artistic talent follows into his leisure time as he is a jewelry designer and fabricator as well as a gemcutter. He writes music, collects and plays guitars - a true Renaissance Man |
