He earned his name after being, as he describes, 'very disorderly' with a sword - another pirate with a talent for woodworking created a very large, very heavy hammer so he wouldn't hurt himself or others. He says Halloween is his favorite holiday and one of the perks of being a pirate is that he can dress up and be a pirate 365 days a year.

His dedication and belief in the Privateer motto of "Kids and Community" is what initially drove him to join the Privateers and his favorite event is, not surprisingly, Snook Adams Kids Day.

A graduate of Burr & Burton Seminary he spends his 'non pirate' hours as the Manager of The Tortuga Inn on the Island. He also greets guests at the front desk and handles reservations for the property.

His special skills include Marketing, Public Relations,Computers and Accounting. In his spare time he is active in the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce, the Anna Maria Island Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

His spare time is spent walking the beach, fishing and watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay.
